We Believe

 

For us, there is one God, the Father, source of all things and our purpose; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things and we exist.

 

1 Corinthians 8:6. We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ was begotten, not created, very God of very God, truly God, truly Man. He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died a vicarious and atoning death for the sins of the world, resurrected bodily for our justification, and now reigns in glory until all things be put under His feet.

We hold that Jesus Christ is both the Son of God and the incarnate presence of God, as well as Lord over all.

We believe the Holy Spirit lives in all believers, shaping them to reflect Jesus Christ. 

“For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”

We believe baptism in the Holy Spirit is a divine empowerment that follows conversion and equips believers for sanctification and evangelism.

We believe in the Holy Trinity i.e. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

We affirm that the roles of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher continue to operate within the Body of Christ until the return of the Lord. Additionally, these ministries are regarded as gifts to the Church, intended to equip believers for service so that the Body of Christ may be strengthened. 

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”
